Dr. Danielle Stefanski is an infectious diseases and general physician based in Naarm/Melbourne, and her work spans antimicrobial stewardship, HIV and Hepatitis medicine, and chronic disease management and prevention at local, national, and international levels. 

 

Danielle has 25 years experience as a doctor and over 15 years as a specialist. Her special interest is in providing holistic care through careful listening and working in partnership with her patients. 

 

Danielle came out publicly as transgender in 2022 in a medical field that doesn’t always make space for that kind of visibility. Nevertheless, she speaks and writes openly about trans rights, workplace inclusion, and what it actually costs to show up fully as yourself in professional spaces. 

 

Danielle looks forward to providing a service in chronic disease management for trans and gender diverse patients, where she can be their physician who understands the trans experience.
